We taped our Chappy to the wall!

Oops! There go the eyebrows. Poor Chaapy Jess-but it was all for a good cause!
Happy Chappy Week!
Chaplaincy week aims to celebrate the work of chaplains in schools, create awareness of the need for chappies and to raise funds to keep chaplaincy in the schools.
There are many ways in which Chappies create awareness and raise funds during chappy week.  At Elliott Heads we are trend setters so we TAPED CHAPPY TO THE WALL.
It all started with metres and metres of tape being pre-cut ready and waiting for the students to purchase. Then the time came for the students to line up and for Chappy Jess to step up on a very high bench seat. One by one the tape started to quickly build up around Chappy Jess' body sticking her tightly to the wall. Piece of tape, after piece of tape until it was all gone!
Then it was time... time to remove the seat Chappy Jess was standing on! Everyone sat back in awe, as she slowly float down to the ground - the tape wasn't as strong as we had all hoped, but it did give us a great laugh! It was such a great event, and brought our school community together for some simple fun.
Together we raised $210 for our chaplaincy service here at Elliott Heads State School. What a great effort Elliott Heads!
